Account deletion

Delete your Day Pal account

You can delete your account and the data tied to it at any time, in the app or by email. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open Day Pal and tap your avatar at the top of Today to open You.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Check the list of what gets removed. To keep a copy of your data, tap Export my data first.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Permanently delete account.

Your account is deleted as soon as you confirm, and you are signed out. This works the same if you use the app as a guest, without an email.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel a Day Pal Pro subscription. Apple or Google bills it, so it keeps renewing until you cancel it in your store account: open your App Store subscriptions or open your Google Play subscriptions. Cancel there first, then delete your account.

What gets deleted, and when

  • At once: your account and all the data tied to it on our servers, including your profile and targets, diary and meal history, weight history, workouts, AI coach memory and subscription receipts.
  • At once: any data export file still waiting for you, and your customer record at RevenueCat, which processes subscriptions for us.
  • On your phone: photos are stored only on your device, never on our servers. Deleting in the app also removes this account’s photos from the phone. If you delete by email instead, they stay on the phone until you uninstall the app.
  • Within 30 days: backups are purged, so no copy of your account survives there either.

What we keep

  • Store purchase records. Apple and Google keep their own records of what you bought, under their own privacy policies. We cannot delete those.
  • Free AI allowance. After deletion we keep only a hashed device key and how many of its 20 free AI actions have been used (with the device’s platform and when it was first seen). It holds no account data and is not linked to you. The 20 free actions are given once per device, so deleting and re-creating an account does not reset them.
  • Crash reports and analytics. They expire on their own schedule: crash reports after up to 90 days, product-analytics events after up to 14 months.
  • What the law requires. If the law obliges us to keep a record, for example to answer a lawful request, we keep only that record, and only for as long as required.

No access to the app? Ask us by email

Email hello@getdaypal.com from the email address of your Day Pal account and ask us to delete it. If you sign in with Apple or Google, that is the address of that Apple or Google account.

To protect your account, we only act on a request sent from the account’s own address. If yours comes from another address, we write to the account’s address and ask you to confirm from there.

We reply within 30 days and email you once the account is deleted. Everything above applies in the same way.

If you used the app as a guest, there is no email on the account for us to match, so please delete it in the app.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how long we keep it and your rights.
